Mission

The Office of the State Inspector General's mission is to ensure that State government maintains the highest standards of integrity and accountability. The Office investigates allegations of corruption, fraud, criminal activity, conflicts of interest and abuse in Executive Branch agencies, departments, divisions, offices, boards and commissions, certain public authorities and public benefit corporations, the heads of which are appointed by the Governor and which do not have their own Inspector General by statue.

Budget Highlights

The Executive Budget recommends $6.9 million All Funds ($6.8 million in General Fund, $100,000 All Other Funds) for the Office and a workforce of 71 FTEs, both of which are unchanged from the 2014-2015 budget.
