Budget Highlights
The Green Thumb Program provides income-eligible elderly citizens with part-time employment in State agencies through the not-for-profit organization Green Thumb Environmental Beautification, Inc. The 2015-16 Executive Budget recommends a General Fund appropriation of approximately $3.14 million, a $178,000 increase from 2014-15 resulting from an increase in the State’s minimum wage.
